A sporting goods store pays $180 for a rubber raft. The percent of markup is 30%. Find the raft's selling price.

    Take the original price (180) and multiply it by the percentage (30% or 0.3).

    180 x 0.3 = 54

    Add the result (which is 30% of the original price) to the original price.

    180 + 54 = 234
