    Area of square = a^2 ... where a is the length of 1 side

    A = (x - 1) ^2

    A = (x - 1) (x - 1)

    A = x^2 - 2x + 1

    Area of rectangle = L * W

    A = x (x - 2) = x^2 - 2x

    The greater area would be the square <==
