Factor out the coefficient of the variable in 1/4d - 3/4

    1/4 (d - 3) is how the coefficient of d is factored out.

    What is left behind is 1 in front of the d. I still think the coefficient is 1/4. Because if you reverse what the distributive property has done, you get 1/4 in front of the d again.

    The answer to your question is 1/4 (d - 3) however.
