In how many different ways can up to 4 students be selected from 6 girls and 7 boys if each selection must have an equal number of girls and boys?

    Number of ways of selecting 1 girl and 1 boy = 6 * 7 = 42.

    Number of ways of selecting 2 girls and 2 boys = 6C2 * 7C2 = 315

    Required total number of ways = 42 + 315 = 357
