To determine the number of trail mix boxes that may fit in hte bigger ship boxes, we calculate their volumes and divide.

Ship box: V = (18 in) (24 in) (12 in)

V = 5184 in³

Trail box: V = (4 in) (3 in) (3 in) = 36 in³

number of trail boxes = 5184 in³ / 36 in³ = 144 boxes

Therefore, 144 boxes may fit in the ship box.
