    So you multiply the number in front (left) of the bracket with the values inside the brackets so

    a. it's 2 multiply x plus 2 multiply 3 which gets you 2x + 6

    b. 5 multiply 2x and 5 multiply - 4 = 10x - 20

    c. 4 multiply 2x and 4 multiply 1 = 8x + 4

    d. 6 multiply x and 6 multiply - 4y = 6x - 24y
