A coin is flipped 70 times and lands on tails 28 times. What is the relative frequency of the coin landing on tails? 20% 30% 40% 50%

    The relative percentage is the ratio of a certain outcome compared to the total. In this case the outcome is tails and there were 28 of those. To calculate the percentage you must take the outcome and divide it by the total. If you divide 28 by 70 you get 0.4 meaning the frequency is 40%
