A company designs its packaging so that it is a cylinder with a diameter of 4 inches and a height of 7 inches with a cone on top that has a diameter of 4 inches and a height of 3 inches. Find the volume of this figure. Leave in terms of π.

    TO find the volume of a cylinder, use the formula-

    V=pi*r²*h

    Remember, the radius 'r' is half of the diameter, so r² is 2*2 which equals 4

    V=pi*4*7

    V=pi*28

    And then to find the volume of a cone, use the formula-

    V=pi*r² * (h/3)

    We know that the radius is again 2 inches, and that the height is 3 inches.

    V=pi*2² * (3/3)

    V=pi*4*1

    V=pi*1

    So then you will now need to answer the question, taking (pi*4) + (pi*28)

    If using 3.14 for pi, the answer would be 12.56+87.92=100.48
