A driver starts his parked car and within 5 seconds reaches a speed of 60 km / h, as he travel east. what is his acceleration?

    Acceleration =

    (change in speed) / (time for the change)

    AND

    (direction of the change)

    - - Change in speed = (end value) - (start value) = 60 km/hr

    = 16-2/3 m/s

    - - Time for the change = 5 sec

    - - Direction of the change = east.

    Acceleration = 3-1/3 m/s² east.
