    1.24

    Step-by-step explanation:

    first multiply 20% and 49.99 = 10

    subtract 10 from 49.99 = 40

    multiply 25% and 54.99 = 13.75

    subtract 13.75 from 54.99 = 41.24

    subtract 41.24 and 40 = 1.24
