Lainey is sliding down a water slide that is 441 feet long at a rate of 49 feet per second. How long will it take Lainey to travel from the top to the bottom of the slide?

    The distance formula is d=rt where d is the distance, r is the rate, and t is the time. Plugging in what you know, you get:

    441=49t

    Dividing both sides by 49,

    t=9 seconds
