    Part A Answer = 206

    Part B Answer = 5

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Part A Explanation:

    The formula for volume of a cone is V = (1/3) pi*r^2 h

    So then you plug in. V = 1/3 pi (4) ^2 (11)

You get the radius by dividing the diameter by 2

When you multiply it all it becomes 184.31cm^3 (Save this for later on in this Part A question)

Now we have to find the Volume of the cooler. That would be: 10*3785=37850 Since there were 10 gallons and each gallon is 3785 cm^3 you multiply them together.

Then you divide the volume of the cooler by the volume of the cone cup: 37,850/184.31=205.36 but since you cannot have 205.36th of a cup you need to get another one since 205 would not be enough giving us a total of 206 cups.

Part B explanation: Since there are 50 cups per package you would have to divide 206 by 50. 206/50=4.12 but again since you cannot buy 4.12 of a package you need to buy 5 packages for it to be enough.
