    A. 4 gallons of yellow paint are used

    3 parts blue + 2 parts yellow = 5 total parts

    10 gallons : 5 parts = 2 gallons per part

    2 gallons per part * 3 parts blue = 6 gallons blue paint

    2 gallons per part * 2 parts yellow = 4 gallons yellow paint

    Answer = a. 4
