One bowl needs 3/5 of a pound. Knowing that, we just need to find out how many 3/5s may fit in 10:

    10 : 3/5 =

    = 10 * 5/3 =

    = 50/3 =

    = 16 2/3

Assuming the potter can't make a 2/3 of a bowl, he'll be able to make 16 bowls from 10 pounds.
