In a zoo there are 30 monkeys, some gorillas and chimpanzees. The ratio of monkeys to gorillas is 6 to 1. The ratio of monkeys to chimpanzees is 5 to 2. How many gorillas are there? How many chimpanzees are there?

    If the ratio of monkeys to gorillas is 6:1

    that means (1:6) * 30=5 gorillas

    if the ratio of monkeys to chimpanzees is 5:2

    that means (2:5) * 30=12 chimpanzees
