How do you do elimination on 5x+y=9 and 10x-7y=-18

    (5x+y=9) - 10

    (10x-7y=-18) 5

    -50x-10y=-90

    50x-35y=-90

    -45y=-180

    -180/-45=4

    y=4

    5x + (4) = 9

    5x+4=9

    -4 - 4

    5x=5

    x=1
