    The radius is 7 if the diam. is 14. We can find the surface area (without top or bottom areas) by finding the circumference of the base and then multiplying it by the height:

    C=pi*d = pi (14); height = 9. Then the surface area of the side (s) is 14 (pi) (9).

    If you wish to include the areas of the top and bottom of the cylinder, add

    2 (pi) r^2 = 2 (pi) (7) ^2.
