How do geometric shapes relate to exponents?

    So if we have (x) to the power of 2. We may say (x) squared. This is because a square has two dimensions (length and width). Now if we have (x) to the power of 3. We may say (x) cubed. This is because a cube has 3 dimensions (length, width and height). Hope that answers your question!
