Nayeli and Elena leave the gym to go work traveling the same route, but Nayeli leaves 15 min after Elena. If Elena drives 36 mph and Nayeli drives 48 mph, how long will it take Nayeli to catch Elena?

    Difference in distance = 15 minutes * 36 mph = 1/4 hour * 36 mph = 9 miles

    difference in speed = 48-36 = 12 mph

    difference in time (to catch up) = 9 miles / 12 mph = 3/4 hours = 45 minutes.
