A plane can fly 305 miles downwind in the same amount of time as it can travel 215 miles upwind. Find the velocity of the wind if the plane can fly 260 mph in still air.

    We can compute this in 2 ways:

    305 downwind - 260 still air = 45 mph wind velocity

    260 still air - 215 downwind = 45 mph wind velocity
