    A. 15 because if you do:

    5*3

    it equals 15

    This is correct because if you put 5 (short and vertical) lines on one side of the paper and put 3 (short and vertical) lines, about an inch away from it, and you connect each of the five lines to each of the three lines then you will have 15 lines in between them.
