    length of a rectangle is 6 less than 3 times its width"

    L = 3W-6

    "perimeter of the rectangle is 148 meters"

    2L + 2W = 148

    L + W = 74

    (3W-6) + W = 74

    4W = 80

    W = 20 m

    L = 3W-6 = 54 m
