A trapezoid with bases that measure 8 inches and 11 inches has a height of 3 inches. What is the area of the trapezoid?

    Area = 1/2 (height) * (base↓1+base↓2)

    Area=1/2 (3) * (8+11)

    Area=1/2 (3) * (19)

    Area=1/2 (57)

    Area=57/2 OR 28.5

    Thus, the area of the trapezium is 28.5inches^2
