Are the ratios 16/14 equivalent to 60/40

    So first for 16/14 divide by 2 by both sides, which is 8 to 7.

    For 60/40 divide by 10, which will give you 6/4 and then divide one more time by 2 to get 3/2. 8/7 and 3/2 are not equivalent, so No.

    (16) (40) = (14) (60)

    640 = 840

    Since the numbers aren't equivalent, the ratios are not equivalent either.
