    let x = 0, in the equation for y - intercept and y = 0 for the x - intercept

    x = 0 → - y = 3 ⇒ y = - 3 ⇒ (0, - 3) is y - intercept

    y = 0 → x = 3 ⇒ (3, 0) is the x - intercept

    that is 3, - 3
