A rectangular field is divided into 2 squares of the same size and shape. If it takes 371 yards of fencing to enclose the field and divide the field into the two parcels, find the dimensions of the field.

    You would divide the total fencing by 7, because there are 3 sides for each square, so that would be 6, and the one side they share would make the total 7.

    371/7=53 yards for each side of the squares. The dimensions of the two parcels together would be 53 by 106.
