    A = L * W

    A = 44

    L = 2W - 3

    44 = W (2W - 3)

    44 = 2W^2 - 3W

    -2W^2 + 3W + 44 = 0

    (-2W + 11) (W + 4) = 0

    W + 4 = 0

    W = - 4 ... not this one because it is negative

    -2W + 11 = 0

    -2W = - 11

    W = - 11/-2

    W = 5.5 < = = = width is 5.5 yds

    L = 2W - 3

    L = 2 (5.5) - 3

    L = 11 - 3

    L = 8 < = = = length is 8 yds
