1) Two angles are said to be complementary if their sum is 90 degrees. Suppose you have two complementary angles such that the second angle is 5 degrees larger than 4 times the measure of the first angle. Find the angles.

    X+y=90

    Y=5+4x

    X+5+4x=90

    5x=85, x = 17, y = 90-x = 73
