    Over here ... We have to make x as the subject.

    Which means ... You'd have to multiply 3 and 2 which is 6 ... 6+4x=1 After which you shift 6 to the other side ... 4x=1 - 6 ... Whixh concludes 4x is ... Wait ... is there an error in the question? ... Shouldn't it be 3x+2+4x=1?

    Is it supposed to be 3*2+4x=1 (The star means to multiply). If so do the following.

    3*2+4x=1

    Multiply 3*2

    6+4x=1

    Subtract 6 from both sides

    4x = - 5

    Divide by 4

    x = - 1.25
