A recipe for a batch of cookies calls for 1/2 cup of white sugar and 1/4 cup of brown sugar. How much sugar will you need to use for 1 batch?

    3/4 if a cup of sugar. Just add one half and one quarter. Since two quarters = one half, the answer is 3/4 of a cup
