Jason is going to cook brownies in a rectangualr pan. The pan measures 11 in. long by 8 in. wide by 3 in. tall. He must cover the inside of the pan with cooking spray, and the pan does not have a lid. What is the surface area of the pan that will be covered with cooking spray?

    First, let's find the bottom of the pan's area. 11 x 8 = 88 inches.

    Next, we can find the sides. 11 x 3 x 2 = 66 inches for each long side. For the wide sides, 8 x 3 x 2 = 48 inches. These all added together equals 202 inches squared.
