The answer to your question is 2 1/4

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Data

    First day = 3/4

    Second day = 1 1/8

    Third day = 1 1/2

    Process

    1. - Find the difference between the distances

    1 1/8 - 3/4 = (8 + 1) / 8 - 3/4

    = 9/8 - 3/4

    = (9 - 6) / 8

    = 3/8

    1 1/2 - 1 1/8 = (2 + 1) / 2 - (8 + 1) / 8

    = 3/2 + 9/8

    = (12 + 9) / 8

    = 3/8

    2. - Find the distance she ran the fifth day

    5th = 1 1/2 + 3/8 + 3/8

    = 3/2 + 3/8 + 3/8

    = 12/8 + 3/8 + 3/8

    = 18/8

    = 9/4

    = 2 1/4
