    The perimeter is the sum of the three sides.

    Subtract the length of the hypotenuse for the sum of the 2 sides:

    60 - 26 = 34 cm

    The Pythagorean theorem is a^2 + b^2 = c^2

    Where a and b are the sides and c is the hypotenuse.

    So we know a^2 + b^2 = 26^2

    26^2 = 676

    We also know a^2 + b^2 = 34 cm

    Now a^2 + (34-a) ^2 = 676

    Factor:

    a^2 + a^2-68a+1156 = 676

    2a^2 - 34a + 480 = 0

    Divide by 2:

    a^2 - 17a + 240 = 0

    Factor:

    a (a-10) - 24 (a-10) = 0

    a = 10

    b = 34 - 10 = 24

    The sides are 10 cm and 24 cm
