(2x²-9x-6) - (8x²+7+6)
let us distribute the negative sign over the second bracket first,
2x²-9x-6 - 8x²-7x-6
Now combining like terms
-6x²-16x-12

The answer would be - 6x^2-9x-19
Because firstly you distribute the negative sign
2x^2 - 9x-6+-1 (8x^2+7+6)
2x^2+-9x+-6-1 (8x^2) + (-1) (7) + (-1) (6)
2x^2+-9x+-6+-8x^2+-7+-6
And combine like terms
