    0.95

    Step-by-step explanation:

Given that in a bouquet of flowers

    Probability of Roses = P (R) = 0.98

    Probability of Orchids = P (O) = 0.87

    Probability of Daisies = P (D) = 0.94

    Probability of Roses and Daisies = P (R ∩ D) = 0.97

Note: In probability, the AND operation is represented by intersection symbol (∩) and OR operation is is represented by union symbol (U).

Now we have to find the probability of roses or daisies in a given bouquet of flowers. In order to calculate it we use the following formula:

    Probability of roses or daisies = P (R U D) = P (R) + P (D) - P (R ∩ D)

    P (R U D) = 0.98 + 0.94 - 0.97

    P (R U D) = 0.95

So, the probability of getting roses or daisies in a bouquet of flowers is 0.95 or 95 percent.
