    You could do any of those, but I would do Add - 9 then the equation is - 4=5x then divide everything by 5 then x = -.8

    well it should be add - 9

    5-3x=2x+9

    +3x=+3x

    5=5x+9

    +-9 + - 9

    -4=5x

    x=4/5
