There are 36 marbles in a box. 8 of them are blue and the rest are red. What is the ratio of the number of red marbles to the number of blue marbles?

    Red marbles : Blue marbles.

    There are 36 - 8 red marbles in the box. 36 - 8 = 28.

    28:8

    This can be simplified,

    14:4 (Divide both by 2)
