Since the shape is a cube, we know that all sides are the same length and therefore all faces and bases will have the same area.

    A cube will have a total of 6 faces/bases.

    The area of each one is 3 * 3 = 9 m^2

    9m^2 * 6 = 54 m^2

The total surface area to be painted is 54m^2
