    UK-37623

    Italy-28941

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Let number of students who go to Italy be x and students in UK be y. Since 8682 more report to UK than Italy

    Therefore, y=8682+x

    Total students, x+y=66564 but y=x+8682 hence

    X + (x+8682) = 66564

    2x=66564-8682=57882

    x=57882/2=28941

    y=28941+8682=37623

    Therefore, those who go to UK are 37623 and Italy are 28941
