    0.67 or 57/84

    Step-by-step explanation:

    A B C Total

    Male 15 12 18 45

    Female 4 19 16 39

    Total 19 31 34 84

    The probability that the student was Female OR have got an "C" is

    There are overall 39 females and 34 people who got a C.

    So there are (39 + 34) overall 73 total people who either they are Female or got a C. We need to reduce off the 16 Females who got C's.

    result is 73-16 = 57 people who got a C, they are female, or they are Females who got a C grade.

    Total students are 84.

    so, divide the 57 over 84.

    answer = 0.67

    or 57/84
