The domain is all the values that x is allowed to take on. So { - 1, 0, 1} is for x.

    If x takes all values in the set { - 1, 0, 1} then 7x - 1 takes all values in the set { 7· (-1) - 1, 7·0 - 1, 7·1 - 1} and the range of the given function is {-8, - 1, 6}.

    The answer is: {-8, - 1, 6}.
