A piece of fabric used to cover chairs is 3 yards long 1 1/3 yards wide what is the area of this piece of fabric

    length of fabric = 3 yards

    width of fabric = 1 1/3 = 4/3 yards

    Area = length * width

    Area = 3 * 4/3

    Area = 4 yards square
