I dont get this at all 0.5x-6=-4

    0.5*4=2

    2-6=-4

    and that is why x=4

    You use the inverse property so add 6 to - 6 and add 6 to the - 4 to get 2. Then you set up the equation so it is. 5x+2. Now just divide 2 by. 5 to get your answer x=4
