Their are 48 students in a school play. the ratio is 5:7. how many more girls than boys are in the play. Explain

    You add 5+7 so the total ratio is 12. then divide 48/12=4. you then multiply the given ration 5:7 by 4=20:28. 20 + 28 is 48 students which is given. so there are 28 girls and 20 boys which means there are 8 more girls than boys.
