    We have

    y = F (x) = x + 3

    so

    x = y - 3

    so

    F⁻¹ (y) = y - 3

    which we can write

    F⁻¹ (x) = x - 3

    We solve

    0 = F⁻¹ (x) = x - 3

    x = 3

    Answer: 3
