Does " ... " at the end of a number mean that it is a pattern and it repeats or does it mean it is an irrational number (doesn't terminate or repeat).

    I believe it means that it is a pattern

    It means that it does not repeat, this is typically found in a sequence, which will be elaborated in Algebra 2 which you will most likely take in junior year of high school
