    Green to red ... ratio is 2 : 1 ... added = 3

    green : 2/3 (7.89) = 15.78/3 = 5.26

    red : 1/3 (7.89) = 7.89/3 = 2.63

so he spent 5.26 on green peppers and 2.63 on red peppers

and if red peppers cost 0.95 and he spent 2.63, then he bought 2.63/0.95 = 2.7 ... rounds to 3 red peppers <==

and if green peppers cost 0.84 and he spent 5.26, then he bought 5.26/0.84 = 6.2 ... rounds to 6 green peppers <==
