    12:4=3

Which means that 1 notebook costs $3.

    So 62:3=20 + 2

So Marisol can buy 20 notebooks and there will be $2 left!

Since she pays 3 for each notebook, you divide 62 by 3. She can buy 20 notebooks, which will cost $60; you cannot buy a fraction of a notebook.
