Rachel bought 6 1/4 pounds of dried fruit. If 1/3 of the fruit was dried apricots, how many pounds of dried apricots did she buy?

    You need to multiply 1/3 by 6 1/4 lb.

    Change 6 1/4 into a fraction.

    1/3 * 6 1/4 = 1/3 * 25/4 = 25/12 = 2 1/12
