The range of acceptable values for production = (16-0.15, 16+-0.15)

    = (15.85, 16.15) oz.

    Step-by-step explanation:

Boxes are randomly weighted to ensure the correct amount.

If the discrepancy in weight is more than 0.15 oz, the production is stopped.

    Correct weight = 16 oz

    Acceptable discrepancy = 0.15 oz.

Hence acceptable level is between 16-0.15, and 16+0.15

simplify to get in interval form the acceptable range as

    (15.85, 16.15)
